Watched El Camino over the weekend. While at first it was cool to see old characters again, after a bit of thinking about it, I don’t think it gave us anything we didn’t already assume or guess
JP gets away. WW dies. Cops pound sand. Silly plot with the money was ... silly.
If we go with the third being less than 250K, then all he is left with is less than 250K. After all the meth selling... pretty poor outcome.
I rate it as a solid meh movie
Would have been way cooler if he restarted the enterprise with potential of JP breaking bad show .

Your assessment seems pretty accurate to me
Im trying to remember, why did Jesse have to run? Was he still wanted for his dealings with Walter?
I would have liked to see more with Badger and Skinny Pete. I always liked those characters

The details are fuzzy to me as well. I should watch last season... but it would have been way cooler if SG got JP out of trouble and into some safe country where he restarted his shenanigans.
Whole movie was about running somewhere where no one wants to be anyway.

Keep going with the show. It takes at least a whole season to really get into the story, then it just keeps adding layers. Really fantastic.

If you recall, JP did the video confession telling everything to Hank. The bargain, though, was immunity and protection if he confesses to everything. Since that plan went to heck, he still confessed to manufacturing a LOT of meth, and laundering a LOT of money. So JP is very much wanted.

This should have been a 5-6 episode mini series closing the book on the entire story. Not just JP’s story of after, but seeing what happens with Skyler and Marie. Did they find Mike’s body? What about his money to his grandchild? Walt Jr’s handling the blowback at school. They could have done so much more than just show JP in Alaska.

I think that I would have been better off if I hadn’t watched it. They ended the series just fine the first time.

One thing I am thankful for - they did not add The Rock or Jason Statham. I fear it’s inevitable somehow though.
Somehow I fear they will find their way into it and somehow make it an action thriller that takes place somewhere in steppes of Kazakhstan where villains want nukes.

It could be wayyyy worse than that . They could recycle the female Ghostbusters cast and reboot the series from the beginning using them .

I was underwhelmed, but they kept it realistic. The guys making money off illicit drugs aren’t chemistry teachers cooking it themselves. They’re CEOs of pharmaceutical companies. And even those guys get caught sometimes.
